If you would like to have an academic piece published on Ibn Rushd, email it to wibnrushd2016@gmail.com. We take submissions on a rolling basis and will generally update the journal on a monthly basis. We ask that all written submissions be academic works that pertain to courses and cultural activities within the Arabic Studies Major as well as testimonies and experiences of study abroad experiences in Arabic speaking countries. Written pieces can be submitted in Arabic and English (Or even both!).
When submitting a piece of writing in English or Arabic, please attach the piece as a Word document or a shared google doc labeled with your name, title, and genre (In Translation, Popular Culture, History, Poetry and Prose, or Study Abroad). An example of an acceptable submission: “John Doe – Class Divides in Egyptian Cinema (Popular Culture).” Feel free to also add an images to any written pieces if you feel that it captures the main idea or symbolizes your work. If you plan on submitting multiple works, please submit them all in one document. Although there is no page limit on written submissions, we do ask that you only submit your best, edited works.
When submitting art or images, please make sure your images are at least 300dpi.
We look forward to receiving your submissions.
